Chad was one of the early team members to join Realty Trust Group (RTG) in 2000 and became an owner / principal in 2006. After serving in different roles over the years, including Executive Vice President, Chad transitioned into the President’s position in January 2023. Before joining the firm, he worked for several major employers, including Carolinas Healthcare Systems (now Atrium), Suntrust Bank (now Truist), and PYA.
In addition to his management duties, Chad works on engagements across the company, including health system portfolio management, strategic planning and optimization, project development, and transaction support. His experience includes the development of medical office and specialty facilities, including ambulatory surgery centers and cancer treatment facilities. Additionally, he has worked with large physician groups regarding real estate ownership structures.
Over the last decade, Chad has helped lead RTG through significant growth; opening and leading the Atlanta office; leading the merger with Corridor Properties in Johnson City, TN, and supporting the additional office expansions in Nashville, Greensboro, Houston, and Tampa. RTG has also been consistently selected as one of Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work and a Top Development Company.

He has broad experience in healthcare real estate, also including developer selections, leasing and marketing, transaction support, project feasibility, physician relationships and opinion letters. Previous experience includes positions with PYA, P.C., Carolinas Healthcare System in Charlotte, NC, Baptist Health System in Birmingham, AL, and SunTrust Banks in Knoxville, TN.
Chad was instrumental in RTG earning the CoStar Impact Award in the “Commercial Real Estate Development of the Year” category for a 91,000-square-foot Orthopaedic Institute in Knoxville, TN. Chad holds a CCIM designation and is a past president of the East TN CCIM Chapter. He is also a member of the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors and is a licensed affiliate broker in Tennessee and Georgia.
Chad was a past board chair and is a current board member for Habitat for Humanity, is a member of the United Way of Greater Knoxville – Tocqueville Council, and is a healthcare council member for the Urban Land Institute.
