Dan brings 30 years of engineering and construction management experience with 25 years specifically dedicated to healthcare clients. Dan has led Program Management and Owner’s Representative teams for healthcare clients nationally providing services from facility condition assessments thru delivering phased, multi-year capital programs.
Over his career, Dan has provided Program Management oversight for over $1-Billion dollars in facility capital project initiatives and excels at helping facilities standardize tools and develop processes for their System. He understands the complex challenges and planning decisions his clients face having worked as the Director of Facilities Planning & Development for two large multi-facility systems in Metro Atlanta delivering over $300-Milllon in capital projects.
While Dan has specific knowledge in pediatric facilities, he has managed large and multiple projects, providing coordinated expertise, standardized tools and processes to the client.
Career highlights include:
- Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta — Projects totaling over $233-million to include several laboratory buildouts and renovations
- Hospital Sisters Health System — Surgical Services Addition ($10.3-million); Emergency Department / Lobby Expansion ($32-million); Various Projects (totaling over $170-million)
- Hamilton Medical Center- Dalton, GA – Projects totaling over $100-million to include a Cancer Institute, Outpatient Pediatric Institute, Endoscopy Addition, along with multiple acute care patient wing renovations
- Johnston Memorial Hospital — Replacement Facility to include Laboratory Construction ($130-million, 251,811 square feet, 116 beds)
- Miami Children’s Hospital — New Tower ($72-million, 200,000 square feet, 80 beds); Included complete Laboratory and Radiology components; Emergency Department Expansion ($14-million, 43,562 square feet, 59 bays); Various Ambulatory Care Centers ($24-million, 4 sites)
Awards & Affiliations
Dan is a Certified Construction Manager through the Construction Management Association of America. He is also past Executive Officer of the Construction Owners Association of America — Georgia Chapter.
