Greg is a founding member of Realty Trust Group (RTG) and served as President from 1998 through December 2022, when Chad Simpson assumed the role. Greg works on engagements across the company, including strategic planning, project development, and portfolio optimization. He focuses his attention on life sciences and growing RTG business in the state of Florida.
Greg has over 34 years of experience in healthcare real estate, including ten years as the chief real estate professional with a regional healthcare system in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is on the advisory board of Intuitive MB, which creates significant energy and maintenance cost savings for healthcare and life science facilities. He currently focuses on life science initiatives and RTG business opportunities outside of Tennessee.

Over the last decade, Greg has led RTG through significant growth, opening and growing offices in Atlanta, GA, Greensboro, NC, Johnson City, TN, Nashville, TN, and Tampa, FL. RTG has also been selected as a Top Development Company (Ranked #3 Nationally in Outpatient Development) and continues to serve leading academic medical centers, regional health systems, and multi-specialty physician practices.
Greg is a frequent presenter on healthcare topics and is widely published on compliance, real estate optimization, physician real estate ownership, and project development.
Greg holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and New Venture Analysis from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Maryville College. He is a licensed broker in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Greg’s affiliations include: Counselors of Real Estate Designation; Certified Commercial Investment Member; and Institute of Real Estate Management— Certified Property Manager®.
Greg actively volunteers his time and resources with the United Way of Greater Knoxville – Tocqueville Council, Cokesbury United Methodist Church, and other local organizations. He serves on the board of Holston Gases and the advisory board of United Community Bank. He was a member of Leadership Knoxville – Class of 2000.
